In a bid to enhance healthcare for mothers and newborns, the Higherlife Foundation (HLF) has donated vital medical equipment worth $240,000 to three major hospitals in Zimbabwe.
According to reports, the beneficiaries, Sally Mugabe Hospital, Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, and Mpilo Central Hospital, will receive crucial tools like CPAP machines, suction machines, and phototherapy machines.
This donation aligns with HLF’s ongoing efforts to support the Zimbabwean government in improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
Since 2020, the foundation has focused on training healthcare professionals, providing equipment, and maintaining it.

The selected hospitals were chosen due to their high volume of deliveries and existing infrastructure.
While Zimbabwe has made progress in reducing maternal mortality rates, more work is needed to meet sustainable development goals.
HLF emphasizes the importance of collaboration between government, private sector, and non-profit organizations to improve maternal health services.
