Renowned South African actress Connie Chiume, aged 72, passed away at Garden City Hospital on August 6, 2024.
Her family announced her peaceful departure and requested privacy during this difficult time.
Chiume, born Temweka Gabisile Chiume on June 5, 1952, in Welkom, South Africa, achieved fame through memorable roles in films like ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Black is King’.
Her extensive career included iconic TV series such as ‘Soul City’ and ‘Rhythm City’, as well as acclaimed stage performances and directorial work.
