A worrying practice that could harm e-hailing drivers in South Africa and Nigeria was begun by some stupid South Africans.
In Nigeria, some Mzansi internet users have been ordering Bolt trips and then canceling them after drivers had waited for a considerable amount of time.
A South African man and others can be seen making fun of Nigerian driver Kotoro-Ola in a viral video on X after he canceled a journey they had scheduled.
In addition to this video, screenshots have surfaced online that show South Africans are reportedly using their home country to order Bolt rides in Nigeria, ostensibly causing annoyance and financial harm to Nigerian drivers.
Chidimma Adetshina, a native of Soweto, was forced to resign from Miss South Africa and is currently ranked among the top 25 leading ladies in the Miss Universe Nigeria competition.
Her actions follow the hostility that surrounded her during that controversy.
There is a significant effect on drivers. These hoax requests are causing lost time and gasoline expenditures for Nigerian vehicles, particularly during the country’s current fuel deficit.
Social media users responded angrily to this, pointing out that South Africa has a greater unemployment rate than Nigeria and criticizing these acts.
