Detective Tafadzwa Chidawa recently shared an intriguing case involving a married woman who staged her own d3ath to deceive another married man, who was her lover.
The woman’s scheme was designed to secure burial costs and additional funds by convincing her side dude she had passed away.
Her plan almost succeeded, but it unravelled when the victim sought Detective Chidawa’s help to investigate the situation.
The deception began when the woman started a relationship with her husband, eventually living with him as a married couple in Mazowe.

One day, she met a man who eventually became her lover. Although she initially rejected the idea of dating him, she later agreed.
To further her plot, she arranged a meeting with the victim in Harare, where they became intimate concocted the story of her d3ath to trick him and extract money from him.
A few days after the supposed d3ath, the woman contacted the unsuspecting lover using a different phone number, pretending to be her niece.
Claiming that the woman had d!ed, she persuaded him to send $200 for burial expenses.
“He immediately sent US$200 for burial,” said the woman as she narrated her story.
The woman continued her ruse by demanding an additional sum for family ritu@ls to be performed before her body could be laid to rest.
