A foreign man who owns shops in Bulawayo is @ccused of r@ping his maid, who is 27 years old and has some mental health challenges.
This happened multiple times, and the maid became pregn@nt as a result.
The 57-year-old man lives in the Kumalo area and is expected to go to court for the charges against him.
The maid’s name is not mentioned to protect her privacy. After the man learned that she was pregnant, he ended her job.
Although the trial was supposed to start in June, it was postponed so that a doctor could evaluate the maid’s mental health.
The doctor confirmed that she has Post-Tr@umatic Stress D!sorder and Mild Intellectual Disability, which means she cannot give consent for s3xual activity.

The man’s son was also @ccused of rap!ng the maid, but he was found not guilty in court.
According to reports, the businessman would often sneak into the maid’s room at night to s3xually assault her, sometimes threatening to fire her if she resisted.
After she got pregnant, her uncle tried to make the man pay for child support, but he denied being the father.
The family had to request a DNA test, which showed a 99.9% chance that the businessman is the father. Although he agreed to pay some money for the child, he often missed payments.
The case is complicated because the businessman claims he doesn’t speak English well. He has been ordered to find someone to help translate for him in court. Currently, he is paying $60 a month for the child’s expenses, but the family feels this is not enough.
The businessman has denied the allegations, claiming that the family is trying to extort money from him. Meanwhile, the maid’s family is unhappy with the court’s decision regarding the son and plans to seek legal help to appeal. They believe that both the father and son should be held accountable for their actions.
