The Italian gaint, AC Milan has confirmed the appointment of Sergio Conceicao as their new head coach and manager following the departure of the Portuguese coach, Paulo Fonseca. The 51-year-old Portuguese coach was sacked following the 1-1 draw with Roma on Sunday night.
Paulo Fonseca’s now former club was endured a poor start to the season, and many Rossoneri players, including Rafael Leao, have been doing a mea culpa and were trying to take the blame away from the coach who arrived in the summer from Lille.
The AC Milan board decided to bring in former FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao, who has already agreed a deal with the club, according to reports in the international press throughout the day. The information has since been confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Conceição didn’t accept three proposals from Europe/South America in last 3 weeks as he knew AC Milan were strongly considering him,” Fabrizio confirmed.
Paulo Fonseca oversaw 12 victories, six draws and six defeats between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia. Currently, the AC Milan is sited on the 8th position on the Seria A log table with 27 points from 17 games played and 14 points behind the log leaders Atalanta.
The debut for the new head coach, Sergio Conceição would be on January 3 against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
