A recent incident at Nyika Growth Point, Bikita in Masvingo Province saw a male dru_g peddler, identified as Shadreck Sithole aged 45 arr3sted for unlawful possession of two kilogrammes of dagga.
On 30th of December, 2024, the detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)’s Dru_gs and N@rcotics section in Masvingo acted on a tip off that Sithole is a dru_g peddler. After a search, the detectives from CID Dru_gs and Narcotics found two kilogrammes of dagga.
“On 30/12/24, detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics, Masvingo acted on a tip off and arrested Shadreck Sithole (45) at Nyika Growth Point, Bikita for unlawful possession of two kilogrammes of dagga,” ZRP Spokesperson confirmed.
Just a day before Shadreck Sithole’s arr3st in at Nyika Growth Point, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) also confirmed the arrest of three individuals in position 16 sachets and one twist of dagga in Beatrice. The three individuals are identified as Abisha Mateuro, Prince Javangwe and Lovemore Elias aged 38, 27 and 28 respectively.
“Meanwhile, Abisha Mateuro (38), Prince Javangwe (27) and Lovemore Elias (28) were arrested on 29/12/24 at Breamer Location, Beatrice for unlawful possession of 16 sachets and one twist of dagga;” Paul Nyati added.
The four are expected to appear in their respective regional courts soon facing the unlawful possession of dru_gs charges.
