A real estate billionaire from Ohio, USA has hinted on his plans to design a new acrylic shelled submersible and dive to explore the famous Titanic shipwreck.
Larry Connor(74) who has allegedly made his fortune through real estate confirmed his plans to design and test the submersible for the safety of a deep sea exploration.
Connor’s plans for this voyage has been met with mixed reactions following the previous incident of OceanGate’s submersible which imploded upon reaching the titanic shipwreck and killing all five passengers onboard including the company’s CEO, Stockton Rush a year ago.
Larry Connor reportedly approached the co-founder and CEO of Triton submarines, Patrick Lahey soon after OceanGate disaster, to ask him if he could build a submarine that could reach the Titanic safely.
The pair has since been rumoured to be working together to build a two people submersible in bid to explore the shipwreck and conduct more research.
