West Ham United has been officially announced former Real Madrid and Spain coach Julen Lopetegui as the new head coach of the club, replacing David Moyes.
In a confirmed public statement Lopetegui said, “Yes, we had other opportunities… but I am very happy that West Ham chose me because I chose West Ham”.
“We came here with the idea and the thought to make a big, big noise”.
The announcement was made early hours of today, 2024, with the club confirming the two-year contract, which includes an option for a third year.
Lopetegui, who has previously managed teams like Real Madrid, Sevilla, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, will begin his role on July 1, 2024.
