Bulawayo Deputy Mayor Councillor Edwin Ndlovu and finance development committee chairperson, councillor Mpumelelo Moyo were recently appeared in court and have been granted US$100 bail each by the High Court of Zimbabwe.
The two councillors have been arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) two weeks ago after allegedly demanding a US$20,000 bribe from Chinese Investors.
The High Court judge Justice Ngoni Nduna ordered Councillor Edwin Ndlovu and Mpumelelo Moyo to reside at their given addresses, report to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission once a week and not interfere with witnesses.
The finance development committee chairperson, cllr Mpumelelo Moyo and the Deputy Mayor scheduled to appear at the magistrate’s court for remand.
