Catholic Women at Rhodesville Parish in Harare celebrated Father’s day yesterday.
A surprise well decorated Father’s Day with artifacts depicting the Day was held yesterday at Rhodesville Assumption of Our Lady Catholic parish. Missionary Childhood sung a touching dedication song for fathers called Daddy l love you.
All Fathers were given surprise gifts of a tie and ticket for lunch. The word of God preached by Father Shoko emphasized working for God’s kingdom, unity, peace and love to build strong families and communities.
Widows at Rhodesville Catholic parish celebrated their late husbands lifes yesterday. At the end of the Church mass service a number of widows at the parish went to remove their late husbands photos which were hung on the decorated tree of life. The widows were sharing their sad loss of their late husbands on the tree hugging each other, celebrating and removing photos of their late husbands on the decorated tree bringing in memories of celebrating their life’s on mother earth. It was so touching as they removed the photos from the tree.
Catholic women at the parish prepared a surprise lunch dedicated to all Father’s as well as a braai.
Mothers at the Catholic parish returned back love to Fathers on Fathers Day yesterday. Fathers once organized a breakfast and a gift of rose flowers to all Mothers at the parish on Mother’s Day this year.
Due to rampant infidelity most families are breaking up leaving broken families raised by single headed parents, leaving children vulnerable. There is high rate of divorces in Zimbabwe. The church has the role to build strong healthy families to eradicate prostitution, drug abuse and many more.
