Popular South African DJ Shimza is lucky to be alive after the plane he was aboard developed an engine problem while mid-air.
Dj Shimza had a nerve-wracking experience while flying back to South Africa from Paris. The flight was forced to turn back to Paris after developing an engine problem mid-air.
According to Zimoja, the flight, which had taken off from Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, was approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes into the journey when the issue arose, prompting the aircraft to turn back to Paris for an emergency landing.
Despite the alarming situation, Shimza maintained a calm and collected demeanor throughout the ordeal. In an interview, he expressed his unwavering faith in technology and a belief that if fate determined otherwise, there was little he could do.
“I’m really not scared of such things, I believe in technology and the fact that if God decides, there’s nothing I can do. I was not panicking at all,” he said.
While the incident caused chaos inside the aircraft, Shimza’s primary concern was the impact on his upcoming event, Kunye, scheduled for this weekend. The DJ expressed his worry about disappointing the fans who had purchased tickets and reserved tables
“It was chaotic inside the aircraft, but my concern was the people who bought tickets and booked their tables, other than that I knew there was nothing I could do,” he said.
This comes just 2 months after internationally acclaimed South African Dj Black Coffee was involved in plane accident.
Black Coffee was travelling from Brazil to Mar Del Plata in Argentina for a gig at Club Mute when the tragic incident occurred.
The Dj who has since recovered suffered ‘severe blows’ to his body after being involved in the severe travel accident.
