A troubling incident unfolded in Sakubva on September 15, 2024, where a group of individuals orchestrated a brazen th3ft at a wake.
The suspects, posing as m0urners, tricked their way into a home, only to target a vehicle parked outside the parlour.
According to reports circulating, here’s how it unfolded;
After blending in with the m0urners, the group managed to convince the vehicle’s driver to leave the car temporarily.
One of the suspects requested the driver to remain behind and charge his phone in the vehicle, while he attended to some matters at the parlour.

Trusting this seemingly legitimate request, the driver complied.
However, as soon as he left the car, the thieves made their move, driving off with the vehicle.
Swift action was taken, and fortunately, the stolen car was recovered near a turnoff to Chiyadzwa along the Mutare-Masvingo highway.
While two male suspects managed to escape, a female suspect was apprehended.
The authorities are yet to confirm the incident.
