An 18-year-old female student endured a traumatic experience when a Kombi driver allegedly kidn@pped her on her way home from school. According to reports, the driver deviated from the regular route and took the unsuspecting teenager to an abandoned house located in the Magwegwe area. It was in this secluded location that the driver allegedly subjected the young girl to the horr!fic ordeal of r@pe.
After the ass@ult, the driver reportedly released the v!ctim, who courageously reported the inc!dent to the authorities. Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed that the police were actively investigating the matter after receiving the report concerning the teenage girl’s ordeal.
“Police are carrying out an investigation to handle the matter and we are working towards solving it,” he said.
According to information circulating on social media, a female student boarded “a yellow baby quantum” commuter omnibus on her way home from school.
The kombi driver then locked all the vehicle doors after dropping off all other passengers at their drop off points and went with the girl to an abandoned house and r@ped her.
After r@ping her, the kombi driver allegedly dropped her off in town, but not before issuing a chilling thre@t. According to reports, the driver warned the v!ctim that he would use a g+n and inj3ctions to k!ll her if she dared to report the rap3 to anyone.
Inspector Abednico Ncube, has publicly urged members of the community to come forward with any information that could help the investigation and bring the perpetrator to justice.
