Former Chelsea and Brighton manager, Graham Potter has signed a new managerial contract with West Ham United following the departure of Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday afternoon.
Potter hasn’t held a managerial job since being sacked at Chelsea in April 2023 and he was also thought to be attracting interest from Everton
According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest updates on West Ham United, the 49-year-old football coach has becomes new West Ham head coach, as expected and the contract was signed.
“Graham Potter becomes new West Ham head coach, as expected.
Contracts being signed and also staff members being decided as he replaces Julen Lopetegui. Deal sealed, confirmed,” the updates reads.
Potter takes over with the Hammers 14th in the Premier League – seven points above the relegation zone – with just six league wins to their name.
Speaking after signing the contract, Graham Potter says he is looking forward to a “big challenge” after being confirmed as the new West Ham manager.
