A 40-year-old man named Piason Nyahoda has been arrested in connection with the brut@l r@pe of a 44-year-old job seeker.
The case has drawn significant attention as the man allegedly exploited the victim’s desires for employment to commit the heinous act.
The unsettling events began when the victim, who was working at a salon located in Kilwinning Shopping Centre, was approached by Nyahoda.
He claimed to represent a company that was hiring workers, capturing her interest with the promise of a job.

Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the spokesperson for the Harare provincial police, provided details on the situation, confirming that the suspect lured the victim into Hatfield Hall under false pretenses.
“The accused person entered the saloon and told the complainant that there was a company looking for workers. Upon arrival, the accused person raped her four times without protection,” Chakanza explained as reported by H Metro.
After enduring this horrific ordeal, the victim managed to escape and returned to the salon. It was there that she bravely reported the @ss@ult, prompting police action that ultimately led to Nyahoda’s arrest.
Inspector Chakanza concluded his statement by emphasizing the victim’s courage: “After the act, the complainant dressed up and returned to the saloon where she revealed the abuse, leading to the arrest of the suspect.”
