Chelsea and England winger Jadon Sancho has emphasized that he has been working very hard and has many people to prove wrong. Sancho joined Chelsea from Manchester United on a season-long loan after being banned from the first team by former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag.
The 24-year-old winger has been in top form since leaving United for Chelsea on deadline day, albeit on a loan deal with an option to buy. Sancho has thrived under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, showing signs of returning to the form he displayed during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho scored Chelsea’s first goal in their dramatic 4-3 comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur. He pulled one back from a 2-0 deficit early in the match before Cole Palmer leveled the score with a penalty.
Speaking to the Premier League media team, Sancho said: “From the very first day, they made me feel welcome. I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do.”
