A Zambian couple, whose child has a distinct appearance, has decided to separate, with the husband, Victor Munengu, now demanding a DNA test to determine the child’s biological father.
The couple had initially attributed the child’s appearance to Munengu’s love for Indian movies and ZeeWorld dramas, a claim the wife had made.

Munengu, in an earlier statement, seemingly accepted the explanation and vowed to care for the child.
However, Munengu has since changed his position, reportedly after receiving critical comments on Facebook that ridiculed him for accepting the initial explanation.
Munengu is now seeking financial assistance from Zambians to fund the DNA test. He is appealing for donations totaling K95,000 and has currently raised K250.
The wife is employed as a maid in Madras, Kamwala, Lusaka, working for Majid Patel, who runs a grocery shop in Kamwala Market. Munengu, the child’s father, works as a Yango driver, operating from Makeni Mall.
