The struggling La Liga club, Valencia CF will play against the defending Champions Real Madrid on Friday, 03 January 2025. Valencia and Real Madrid will play the first match of La Liga which was rescheduled from November after it was postponed because of Storm DANA.
Friday clash will be Carlos Corberan’s new debut as new head coach following his appointment last week after the sacking of Ruben Baraja. It will be a tough start to his managerial career at the Mestalla for Corberan, especially so as he will not have some two key players due to inj-ries.
The unavailable of Giorgi Mamardashvili and Jose Gaya means Stole Dimitrievski will continue in goals for Valencia, while the left-back position is much more open. Luis Rioja started there the last couple of matches, and despite being a winger, he was tested there once again by Corberan, which hints that he will be used there against Real Madrid too.
Currently, Real Madrid is on the second place on the La Liga table with just one point behind the log leaders Atletico Madrid which have 41 points. The Los Che are in the relegation zone sited on the 19th with only 12 points from 17 games.
