A UK-based Zimbabwean who incited b0mbings in Zimbabwe is set to be deported after serving his pr!son sentence.
Sources close to the situation say William Chinyanga, 54, has completed his time at Wandsworth Pr!son and is now preparing to return to Zimbabwe.
His arr3st followed the dissemination of videos in December 2019, which were reported to the counter-terr0rism police.
Chinyanga was apprehended on February 25, 2020, at his home in North London.
In the live-streamed Facebook speeches, he vocally condemned Zimbabwe’s ruling party, Zanu-PF, and urged violence against soldiers and police forces.

During interviews, Chinyanga acknowledged posting the controversial videos, which ultimately led to his conviction and a three-year prison sentence in 2022 for two counts of encouraging terrorist acts. He was acquitted of two other similar charges.
Commander Richard Smith, who heads the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, highlighted the importance of public vigilance: “Thanks to a report from a concerned citizen, Chinyanga’s speeches came to the attention of law enforcement. That individual did the right thing, demonstrating that we take all reports seriously and will take necessary action.”
“We strongly encourage anyone who encounters content online promoting terrorism to report it to the police,” he added.
“Chinyanga aimed to reach a broad audience through social media to incite violent actions against the Zimbabwean government. Such dangerous rhetoric can have serious real-world repercussions.”
