The love of beer has landed two brothers in jail after they nearly k!lled their neighbour in a beer dispute.
The Bindura court witnessed the dramatic conclusion to a vi0lent dispute that unfolded on December 28, when brothers Jonga and Chenjerai Mandaza faced justice before Magistrate Elisha Singano.
The brothers, both in their thirties, received a sentence of two years imprisonment for their part in a d@ngerous altercation that arose from a seemingly innocuous evening of drinking beer with their neighbor, Dakarai Gwenzi, and Progress Chiraradza.
The brothers wanted to ass@ult Chiraradza but they were restrained by Gwenzi prompting Chiraradza to flee.
The duo turned against Gwenzi and b@shed him severely with open hands and logs.
The Mandaza brothers only realized the gravity of their actions when they saw the extent of Dakarai Gwenzi’s !njuries.
Horrified by the brut@lity of their own actions, they fled the scene of the crime, abandoning the bar where they had been drinking and leaving their v!ctim in a state of serious !njury. .
Gwenzi was rushed to the hospital for treatment and the pair was @rrested.
