A Masvingo resident has reportedly taken his own life after allegedly murd3ring his wife during a domestic dispute.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the dual events.
On December 2, 2025, Raramai Dhewa, aged 40, was found d3ad in a kitchen hut at Utete village, Chitsa, Gutu, Masvingo.
She had suffered multiple injuries, and a blood-stained log was discovered at the scene, indicating the violent nature of her d3ath.
Her husband, 46-year-old Fungai Chitsale, was later discovered hanging from a roof truss inside a separate two-bedroom house, having used a nylon rope to take his own life.
ZRP national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, provided details about the case, highlighting the grim reality of domestic violence that led to these tragic outcomes.
In a separate case, police in Filabusi are on the lookout for six suspects connected to the murd3r of a village bully.

The suspects—Zenzo Moyo (32), Ayanda Moyo (30), Nqobizita Moyo (34), Senly Moyo (29), Paul Ndlovu (36), and Donald Sibanda (30)—are wanted for their alleged involvement in the violent @ss@ult of 29-year-old Talent Hlongwane.
The incident occurred on December 3, 2025, at Village 16 B, Nkankezi, where the suspects reportedly attacked Hlongwane with spears, axes, and machetes after accusing him of bullying.
ZRP is urging anyone with information on the ongoing investigations to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
