A Murewa man identified as Tafadzwa Muvirimi (36) is currently remanded in Mutawatawa for allegedly r@ping a 14-year-old in Nhakiwa.
The alleged victim, who is now pregnant, claims to have been victim to occasional r@ping at Muvirimi’s shop in Marugara.
It has been reported that Muvirimi tried to end his life in Matanda Village, barely a week before the allegations surfaced.

Murewa TV released a statement stating that the reasons behind Muvirimi’s actions had not been established at the time.
However, it has since been established that Muvirimi was involved in several projects at his in-laws’ residents in Nhakiwa, where the alleged victim was also known to frequent.
Interestingly, Muvirimi told reporters that he attempted to take his own life because one of his in-laws had duped him of US$10k.
However, this claim could not be verified, and the real reason behind his su!cidal attempt remains unknown to this day.
