Murewa Town Board has embarked on a properly designed and focused street lighting improvements that can lead to reductions in crime, disorder, and fear of crime.
In a recent post seen by Newsreportzim.com on X Nick Mangwana emphasized that I know by its nature vandalism has not rationale nor logic, but I can’t get over one who vandalizes street lights, unless they are criminals trying to operate in the dark.
Murewa Town Board has embarked on a robust exercise which has recently seen the repairing of street lights that had been vandalised.
The solar streetlights had been vandalised along the Murewa-Mandicheche highway and they are replacing the solar streetlights with a hybrid 3-in-1 Solar Street Lighting System which is less susceptible to theft.
Residents are happy with this development since it will light up the Town Board area and enhance security for pedestrians using the road at night.
These are our communities, let’s report the vandals to @PoliceZimbabwe

to do the same in Harare. Even to remove the old rusty poles that are along our roads. What will our visitors say when they see them?
