Zimbabwe’s minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Prof. A. Murwira chaired the caucus meeting for the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on the sidelines of the ongoing African Union’s 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council.
The African Union’s 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council is being held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Brodcasting Services, Nick Mangwana confirmed that the meeting deliberated on SADC’s candidature in the African Union Peace and Security Council where the region endorsed Eswatini as its candidate.
“Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Southern African Development Community SADC) held a caucus meeting, which was chaired by Hon. Prof. A. Murwira, on the sidelines of the ongoing @_AfricanUnion’s 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council in Addis Ababa, #Ethiopia.
“The meeting deliberated on #SADC’s candidature in the African Union Peace and Security Council, where all regions of the continent will be represented.
“The region unanimously endorsed Eswatini as its candidate,” Nick Mangwana confirmed.
