Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Dr Walter Mzembi has wished the current President of Zimbabwe His Excellency Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to qualify and induct into the Global Council of Elders.
In a statement, Walter Mzembi articulated that Mnangagwa must be encouraged and emboldened on the constitutional path and start working for his legacy.
“It’s not too late to reset and he must be encouraged and emboldened on the constitutional path and really start working for his legacy ; How he wants to be remembered…”
The former member of Zanu PF stated that for Mnangagwa to get there in the Global Council of Elders he must surround himself with wisdom not opportunists, criminals.
“But to get there , starting point kutamba nezera rake and surrounding himself with wisdom not opportunists, criminals and zvitambapanashe”.
Walter Mzembi’s remarks come after Mnangagwa loyals’ push for constitution ammendment so that Mnangagwa can extend his stay in office beyond 2028.
