Former Cabinet Minister, Dr Walter Mzembi has hailed His Excellency Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for appointing Dr Fulton Mangwanya as the new Director General of the President’s Department. In recent announcement made on Friday evening, Dr Martin Rushwaya the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet announced the appointment of Dr Fulton Mangwanya with immediate effect.
Through the social media X, the former cabinet minister wrote the following:
“Career Intelligence Officers will be pleased with the appointment of Dr Fulton Upenyu Magwanya , a career Intelligence Officer himself , sober and disciplined Civil Servant. Looking forward to more professional reporting not concocted reports targeting personalities and creating non existent enemies of the State. Fulton brought much needed sanity in Parks & Wildlife . Well done @edmnangagwa,” Mzembi posted
Mangwanya brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Director-General of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) for five years, beginning August 1, 2017. His appointment at ZimParks followed a rigorous selection process conducted by a private consultancy, where he emerged as the top candidate.
During his tenure at ZimParks, Dr. Mangwanya replaced Mr. Edson Chidziya, who had departed the organization in 2015.
