Nelson Chamisa has distanced himself from outspoken war veteran Blessed Geza.
Geza Claims Chamisa Supports Chiwenga
In his first public address, Geza claimed to have the backing of several political figures, including Chamisa and Job Sikhala. He asserted that they had reached an agreement and suggested that Chamisa supports Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.
“We have engaged all political players like Chamisa, Sikhala, Mwonzora, Komichi and we agreed on a way forward. For your own information all these people like General Chiwenga. So be warned, the signal is coming very soon,” he said.
Chamisa Distances Himself From Blessed Geza
In response, Chamisa quickly dismissed these claims when a social media user, @mafukidze15_, asked if he truly supported Chiwenga. Chamisa clarified that while he is open to dialogue, he has not been in talks with anyone recently.
“I want to clarify that my door is always open to speak with anyone who reaches out to me for constructive conversations and nation-building, but I have not been involved in recent dialogues with anyone. I don’t want to be made the focal point of things that have nothing to do with me,” Chamisa said.
