Controversial mogul, Wicknell Chivayo and his fiancée, Lulu, recently paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency President William Ruto of Kenya while en route to Tanzania for the upcoming 2025 Energy Summit.
The summit, organized by Tanzania in collaboration with the African Union, African Development Bank, and the World Bank, aims to align with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030, emphasizing the enhancement of energy access through renewable solutions.
This initiative supports Zimbabwe’s National Development Strategy, recognizing clean energy as vital for industrialization and inclusive growth.

The 2025 Energy Summit, hosted by the United Republic of Tanzania alongside the African Union, African Development Bank, and the World Bank, aligns its ambitious Mission 300 goals with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030. Both initiatives aim to transform lives through enhanced energy access, highlighting renewable solutions as key drivers of economic and social progress.
The Second Republic of Zimbabwe deserves recognition for integrating its National Development Strategy with Vision 2030 and global energy objectives, ensuring that clean energy is central to industrialization and inclusive development. This alignment reflects visionary leadership and a profound understanding of how sustainable energy propels long-term economic prosperity.

This isn’t the first encounter between the two. Zimbabwean businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo has been exploring stunning destinations across Africa with his new girlfriend, and during one of these recent trips, he shared some highlights from their journey.
Chivayo mentioned that on their way back, they had the privilege of visiting Kenya’s President William Ruto and his wife, Rachel Ruto, at their farm.
He expressed admiration for the Kenyan leader, calling him a visionary and praising the progress Kenya has made under his leadership.
