In a bizarre turn of events that sparked both outrage and incredulity, Pastor Walter Magaya of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministry in Zimbabwe came under fire for allegedly selling cucumbers that he claimed were ‘anointed’ by him.

The incident unfolded during a church service, where Pastor Magaya reportedly instructed his ushers to distribute these specially blessed cucumbers to the congregation.

Photos circulated online showing church members holding these cucumbers, purportedly believing in their supernatural properties.

Critics lambasted the pastor, decrying the exploitation of religious sentiment for financial gain. “Anointed cucumbers? Are we really this gullible?” exclaimed one social media user.

Some questioning the lengths to which certain religious leaders will go to attract followers and financial contributions.

“This is not about faith; it’s about manipulation,” remarked another skeptic. “These gimmicks are an insult to genuine spirituality and the intelligence of believers.”

Pastor Magaya, known for his charismatic preaching and claim of divine healing, did not publicly respond to the backlash.

However, this isn’t the first time he has courted controversy.

He also became talk of the town with the anointed labor where the congregates worked in his fields for free to received blessings.

However, this isn’t the first time he has courted controversy. Previously, he made headlines with his “anointed labor” scheme, where congregants worked in his fields for free in exchange for blessings.
