R. Kelly is now confronted with a new lawsuit from six alleged victims who claim he has not paid most of a $10.3 million judgment against him.
The disgraced singer has been accused of failing to compensate these individuals, who collectively report they have received under $500,000, leaving more than $9.9 million still owed.
The judgment, which was awarded in 2023, originates from allegations that Kelly and his former record label, Universal Music, obstructed the screening of the Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” back in 2018. The plaintiffs—Lizette Martinez, Lisa Van Allen, Kelly Rogers, Faith Rogers, Roderick Gartrell, and Gem Pratts—are now looking to collect the unpaid amount from both Kelly and Universal Music.

Although the ruling was handed down in August 2023, Kelly has since disputed the findings, claiming he was unaware of the proceedings and should not be held liable.
His current attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, informed TMZ that the default judgment was made before she joined his legal team and confirmed that an appeal is currently in process.
As he serves a 30-year sentence for s3x crimes, questions persist regarding whether Kelly’s victims will ever receive the full compensation they seek.
While they have received partial payments, the six claimants maintain that they are owed millions more.
This new case only adds to Kelly’s growing list of legal and financial challenges as his victims continue their quest for justice.
