Tiffany Haddish was allegedly arrested in Beverly Hills early Friday morning. With the vehicle still running, the comedian was allegedly found slumped over in her seat, asleep.
TMZ reported that cops received the call to respond Friday morning around 5:45 a.m. EST. The night prior, Tiffany was performing at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood.
Tiffany reportedly did not resist the arrest and is expected to be released later to day with a DUI citation. Tiffany was also arrested on suspicion of a DUI. In January 2022, she was taken in for an incident in the Atlanta area where a call reported someone asleep behind the wheel.
Following the 2022 incident, Tiffany was charged with a DUI, improper stopping on a roadway, and driving under the influence of multiple substances. She’s expected to go to trial on Dec. 4 in regards to the alleged violations, according to court documents obtained by The Mirror.
In August, Tiffany’s former friend Trizah Morris filed a defamation lawsuit against her and Aries Spears, according to court records obtained by The Mirror. Earlier this month, the judge granted Tiffany’s motion to handle the case in attribution.
This decision means the case will be handled in a private court where the public will no longer be privy to records or information. The lawsuit has a potential payout of around $1million (£793,000).
Tiffany is also navigating a January lawsuit for alleged breach of contract which was filed by Pacific Atlantic Realty. The case is still ongoing with the most recent updates coming in as of Oct. 27, 2023.
Despite her ongoing legal affairs, Tiffany has continued with her life, even recently being on tour. The comedian also attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in August.
In a video with Cameron Diaz on Instagram, Tiffany was heard saying: “I’m a Swiftie. Not everybody knows that about me but I’m a Swiftie. That’s my girl. She got a whole forest on the stage. She’s got the woods on the stage – she got the woods in the middle of Inglewood! That’s what TT do.”
The Mirror contacted Tiffany Haddish’s spokesperson for comment.
