The detectives from CID Dru_gs and N@rcotics in Beitbridge have arr3sted Fainurse Chitanga and Prosper Chitanga in connection with unlawful d@gga. The two accused were aged 37 and 38 respectively.
On 03 January, 2025, the detectives acted on a tip-off that led to the arr3st of the two dr_ug peddlers. According to Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)’s memo, Newsreportzim.com has learned the arr3st of Fainurse Chitanga and Prosper Chitanga at Masvingo turnoff in Beitbridge after the detectives search boots of Makwenda bus.
“On 03/01/25, detectives from CID Dru_gs and Nrcotics, Beitbridge acted on received information and arrested Fainurse Chitanga (37) and Prosper Chitanga (38) in connection with unlawful possession of approximately 7 kilogrammes of d@gga.
The d@gga was stashed in three plastic buckets which were in the boot of a Makwenda bus. The bus was intercepted at Masvingo turnoff, Beitbridge,” the memo reads.
Meanwhile, on the same date, detectives from CID Chivhu acted on received information and arr3sted Learnmore Nyagumbo (33), Makuwerere James Nyagumbo (31) and Courage Chenzara (20) for unlawful cultivation of seven plants of d@gga at Plot 24 Vergnoek Farm, Featherstone.
