A Nigerian woman has taken to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share her devastating experience and her plans for revenge after her husband of five years allegedly infected her with HIV.
In her anonymous post, she expressed her hurt and the drastic measures she intends to take in response to what she sees as a profound betrayal.
The woman, who has been married for five years and has two children with her husband, detailed the significant sacrifices she made for him, including giving him her first ₦5 million earnings.
Despite her dedication, she found out that he ch3ated and subsequently transmitted the virus to her.
In her post, she outlined her intentions to change all property documents—those they purchased together and those solely in his name—to her name.
She also revealed her plan to leave the country with their children next year, without informing her family, who had previously urged her to stay in the marriage despite her husband’s !n!idelity.

She wrote: “This man I married gave me HIV within just five years of marriage. I built a life with him and gave him everything, including my first ₦5 million. This is how he repaid my loyalty. Once I change all the property documents to my name—including those I bought for him and the ones we bought together—he’ll be back to square one.”
“I could have infected his family, but instead, I want him to suffer. I’m leaving the country with my two children next year, never to return, and I won’t tell anyone, including my family. They encouraged me to stay with him when I found out about his ch3ating. When we were struggling, he didn’t ch3at, but now that I’ve helped him, this is my reward.”
