Hazvinei Tswangira, a 31-year-old resident of Mbizo, Kwekwe, has been convicted of @ss@ult after violently @tt@cking her maid over suspicions of an affair with her husband.
The incident, which took place on January 26, 2025, led Tswangira to confront her maid, during which she repeatedly struck the victim on the face and right shoulder using both her fists and an electric cable.
The brutal @tt@ck prompted the maid to report the incident to the authorities, resulting in Tswangira’s arrest.

In a statement by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the details of the @ss@ult were outlined, emphasizing the severity of the @tt@ck, which was fueled by Tswangira’s unfounded suspicions of !nf!delity.
At her appearance in the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court, Tswangira was sentenced to pay a fine of US$250 or face 60 days in pr!son.
Additionally, she received a wholly suspended sentence of three months’ imprisonment.
Authorities are urging increased awareness and proactive measures to safeguard victims of such violence.
