Zimbabwe’s Young Warriors have qualified for the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA qualifiers following a dramatic 4-4 draw against Namibia in their final Group B match yesterday. Despite conceding a late equalizer, Zimbabwe advanced on to the semi-finals as the best runner-up of the Group B
Zimbabwe Young Warriors have scored 10 goals in the tournament secured their semi-final berth ahead of Mozambique, who had the same points and goal difference but scored fewer goals.
Young Warriors will aim to build on their high-scoring performances when they take on Angola tomorrow. The team’s resilience and attacking prowess could prove decisive as they chase a spot in the final of the COSAFA U-17 qualifiers.
However, the other semi-final pits Zambia will play against hosts South Africa at 3pm after Zimbabwe vs Angola clash.
