During the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF)’s annual community assistance programme, scheduled to start on August 5th and end on August 9th, 2024, the Ministry has officially commissioned and handed over projects to the communities.
The ZDF Community Assistance Week is an annual programme conducted by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, where the military undertakes various projects to assist communities in line with its constitutional mandate to protect the country.
To witness the progress, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defense, Cde Aaron Daniel Tondi Nhepera, officially commissioned and handed over a 1 by 2 classroom block to the Gokwe North Rural District Council at Tsungai Primary School in the Nembudziya constituency.
The school was constructed with the assistance of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA). The ZNA also donated 30 laptops to the institution during the official opening and handover.
