The Zimbabwean cabinet has approved the introduction of the new smart traffic management system which set to be brought about by a Middle Eastern company.
According to Ministry of Information Permanent secretary, Nick Mangwana’ the proposal and reports were presented to the cabinet by the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Hon Kazembe Kazembe.
The implementation of this traffic system is being overseen by a Middle Eastern corporation known as Vitronic Machine Vision Ltd which provides innovative and tailored solutions for traffic technology with its headquarters located in Dubai-United Arab Emirates.

This engagement has been met with a positive reaction from the Zimbabwean online community while others have condemned government for engaging foreign contractors for the development.
