Mufti Ismail Menk, a famous Muslim scholar from Zimbabwe, has recently become one of the most followed Africans on X (formerly Twitter), with 10.7 million followers.
He is now on the 9th position on the top ten ahead of Nigerian artist Burna Boy and South African cricketer AB de Villiers.
Mufti Menk was born and grew up in Zimbabwe. He studied Islamic law in Madinah and has a doctorate in Social Guidance from Aldersgate University.
Since 2010, he has been recognized as one of “The Top 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World.” People love to follow him on social media because he is friendly and easy to relate to.

His popular lecture series has attracted a large audience. He travels the world spreading a simple but important message: “Do good, help others, and prepare for the afterlife.” He also advocates for peace and justice and stands against terrorism.
