A Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) in Ghana held a special Thanksgiving service, this past weekend, to honor 20 young girls aged between 13 and 16 years for their commitment to preserving their v!rg!n!ty.
During the ceremony, the girls were presented with undisclosed sums of money intended to support their well-being.
Mrs. Nana Amponsah Poku, the Wenchi West District Coordinator of the Young Adventist Women Ministries, commended the girls for their dedication and urged them to continue valuing their v!rg!n!ty until marriage.

“God created you uniquely beautiful and you must not allow anybody to lure and break your v!rg!n!ty until you marry,” she emphasized.
She further encouraged the young women to be cautious about the friendships they choose in 2025, highlighting the importance of maintaining their values.
Mrs. Poku also touched upon traditional practices, mentioning the significance of the ancient Bragoro or Dipo rite in helping to preserve girls’ v!rg!n!ty and mitigate teenage pregnancies, which can adversely affect the growth and development of young women.
