On the night of October 19, 2024, a brazen robbery unfolded at a financial institution located in Mumvuri, Shurugwi.
Around 2:00 AM, four male suspects armed with machetes and an axe stormed the premises, launching a violent att_ck on a security guard tasked with safeguarding the facility.
The robbers swiftly broke into the offices, managing to steal a significant amount of money, totaling US$5,010.00 and ZAR23,900.00, demonstrating their determination to carry out the heist with ruthless efficiency.
Following the financial institution theft, the suspects moved on to a nearby wholesale shop, where they once again displayed brazen audacity, taking US$1,085.00 from a secured metal box.
Their crime spree did not end there, as they proceeded to break into an agrochemical shop, where they @ssaulted the occupant and stole US$30.00 along with a Huawei P30 cellphone.
The coordinated nature of the robberies suggests that the suspects may have planned the attacks meticulously, targeting vulnerable establishments in the de_d of night.
