A funeral in Mutasa turned into a scene of sh0ck and tragedy when an adulterous woman took her own life after being caught by her husband in a compromising position with his nephew.
The incident occurred during a funeral of a relative, just a short distance from the home of the deceased couple, Itayi Mahidhu and her husband, Constant Mapanga.
Mapanga recounted the events leading to the tr@gedy, stating that he returned home during the night of the funeral and caught his wife and nephew, Artwell Samaringa, in a compromising position in their kitchen.
Enraged, Mapanga confiscated Samaringa’s clothes, forcing him to flee naked back to the funeral.
The next morning, Mapanga woke up to find that his wife had disappeared.
They searched for her and tragically discovered that she had taken po!son and d!ed in a nearby bush.
Mapanga believes that his wife was overwhelmed by shame and could not face the consequences of her actions.
In a surprising twist, Samaringa denied that the @ffair had been ongoing for a long time, claiming that it began during the funeral.

He admitted to being caught in the act but denied any responsibility for Mahidhu’s tr@gic decision to take her own life.
Samaringa expressed remorse for his actions, saying that he disrespected his uncle by sleeping with his wife and regretted it.
Chief Mutasa expressed disappointment with Samaringa, reprimanding him for lack of respect and disgracing his family.
He ordered Samaringa to pay compensation in the form of five beasts by March 30, with one beast for disrespecting his uncle’s family, one for defiling the kitchen, two for engaging in an illicit affair with a relative, and one for failing to take necessary precautions to prevent harm.
The matter was adjourned to consult with the police regarding why Samaringa was released after being detained for a day.
Chief Mutasa also ordered the conducting of DNA tests to determine the paternity of Mapanga’s children and provide clarity on the matter.
