A 50-year-old man has been accused of repeatedly s3xually abusing his daughter, who is now 25 years old, and is believed to be the biological father of her two children, aged eight and four.
The details of this distressing situation shared by Masvingo Mirror, have left residents bewildered and concerned for the young girl and her siblings.
Village head Patrick Madziva confirmed that the abuse began when the daughter was just 16 years old.
“Her little sisters are in hiding because of fear of the father, who is known for being violent,” he stated. This troubling situation has drawn the attention of the community, with many residents expressing their frustrations over the slow pace of investigations.

The case was reported to the Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC) and the police last year, yet the villagers are anxious about the lack of progress.
ZGC CEO Virginia Muwanigwa indicated she would comment further once updated by the investigating officer.
Meanwhile, attempts by The Mirror to reach Masvingo Police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa for comments went unanswered.
Due to her tr@umatic experiences, the daughter has moved into a relative’s home where she lives alone with her two children.
To ensure their safety, her younger sisters, who are witnesses to the @buse, have also been removed from the home amidst concerns of potential violence from their father.
Ekenia Chifamba, director of Shamwari Yemwanasikana, criticized the decision to place the children with relatives instead of involving the Department of Social Welfare, which she believes is better equipped to handle such cases.
“The @bused girl and even her little sisters may end up with health issues,” she warned, emphasizing that the authorities need to take charge to ensure the well-being of the children.
In a telephone interview, the accused father denied the allegations.
However, his elder brother corroborated the claims, admitting that family decisions were made to remove the daughter from the home following numerous reports of the abus3.
Additionally, the father’s wife revealed that she had seen her husband in compromising situations with the girl on multiple occasions.
