Renowned South African actor Chris “Bra Spokes” April has di3d.
Chris April, who was well known for his unforgettable performances in “Zulu,” “Mama Jack,” “Blended,” and a number of other notable films, passed away on March 31, 2024.
Confirming the news of her father’s passing, his daughter Tia Anan shared a heartfelt message on her social media platform. In a post seen by Zimoja, Tia Anan described Chris April as more than just an actor.
“Rest in power, Daddy Chris ‘Bra Spokes’ April. He was a father, uncle, role model, legendary actor, music influencer, and teacher. He was an inspiration to everybody that he came in contact with,” she expressed.
Details about his d3ath and cause of d3ath were not readily available at the time of publishing.
In honour of April’s extraordinary life and contributions, a memorial service is set to be held on Wednesday, April 10, at the Zolani Art Centre in Cape Town.
The event is expected to draw a multitude of distinguished figures from the showbiz industry, paying their respects to the iconic actor.
