A joyful occasion turned to heartbreak on December 27, 2024, in Ghana’s Eastern Region, when Chief Inspector Godwin Beniba tr@gically p@ssed away during his wedding ceremony.
Chief Inspector Beniba, the Station Officer at the Anamase Police Station, had just arrived at the Anamase Hotel, eagerly anticipating the arrival of his bride, Florence Debrah, who was preparing in a nearby room.
However, shortly after entering the venue, he began to feel unwell, complaining of dizziness.
Before help could arrive, Beniba collapsed, and guests quickly rushed him to the Anamase Clinic. Unfortunately, he was pronounced d3ad on arrival, leaving everyone in sh0ck.
The devastating news swept through the celebration, converting what was meant to be a day of joy into one of profound sorrow.
Attendees, including police officers who had traveled from various locations to celebrate the union, were left overwhelmed with grief.

The wedding feast, complete with food and drinks prepared for the occasion, went untouched as heartbroken guests abandoned the venue in despair.
Chief Inspector Beniba’s family, who had reportedly come from the Northern Region, arranged for his body to be taken to the Oda Government Hospital morgue for an autopsy and preservation.
The Akyem Anamase community has been plunged into mourning, and residents have been unable to partake in the usual Christmas festivities, overshadowed by this tragic event.
As the community grapples with this loss, the cause of Chief Inspector Beniba’s sudden d3ath remains unknown, leaving many unanswered questions.
