A specialist hospital is currently under development in Mazowe, according to University of Zimbabwe (UZ) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Mapfumo.
The project is led by the UZ, with funding provided by the government.
Mapfumo stated that the completion of the quinary hospital will reduce the estimated US$400 million that Zimbabweans spend on importing medical services.
According to a post by Ranga Mataire on X, “Along the Harare-Mazowe Road, just diagonally opposite the Zimbabwe Defence University, there is something beautiful happening there. The University of Zimbabwe Quinary Hospital is under construction.”
This hospital, according to UZ Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Mapfumo, will offer specialized medical services to Zimbabweans and beyond. It is a medical training facility that aims to make Zimbabwe a hub for medical tourism.
