The police in the Western Cape are investigating a mass sh00ting that took place in Nyanga township in Cape Town on Sunday evening, which left another four badly injured and four di3d on spot.
Western Cape SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Andrè Traut ,said On Sunday at around 6.20pm unknown gunmen opened fire at the victims at their residence, k!lling three on the scene and wounding five. “The injured victims were admitted to hospital where one succumbed to their injuries. The deceased are all in their 20s, while the @ttempted m-rder victims are aged between 27 and 35,”said Traut.
Traut said they’ve opened a murd3r and @ttempted murd3r docket which was handed over to detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit for investigation. “The investigating team is pursuing a number of leads in a bid to apprehend those responsible for the murd3rs and @ttempted murd3rs and would appreciate community assistance to expedite the investigation.
The motive for the incident is yet to be determined,” Traut said adding that any person who can shed light on the sh00ting incident that led to the murd3rs to contact Crime Stop anonymously. Meanwhile, a week ago Colonel Traut said cops were summoned to a crime scene in Govan Mbeki Road at around 9:40pm again on a Sunday where the bodies of three men and a woman in their 20s were discovered with gunsh0t wounds inside a shack. A fifth victim was admitted to hospital, also with gunsh0t wounds.
