The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a tragic road accid3nt that took place along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road, resulting in the d3ath of three individuals and leaving ten others !njured.
The @ccident occurred on May 21, 2024, at approximately 10 PM near the 226km peg.
According to reports, an ERF truck with three passengers on board swerved into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision with a Stallion Cruise bus carrying 40 passengers.
Tragically, three people lost their lives in the @ccident, and their identities have yet to be confirmed by their next of kin. The deceased v!ctims’ bodies were transported to Hwange Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Several !njured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals, with some admitted to Hwange Hospital and others receiving treatment at St. Luke’s Hospital.
The ZRP has urged drivers to exercise caution and avoid traveling during late hours, as a significant number of accid3nts occur during this time.
