STRONGMAN Arnold Zikhali is set to appear at a buffet meet-and-greet event in Bulawayo, where he will also demonstrate his strength by pulling a loaded lorry.
Children aged five and under will receive meals for free at the event dubbed ‘All You Can Eat Buffet’ at the Chiefs Village Lounge on Saturday.
Organisers said those who feel they can challenge the Oxman in the eating competition were free to do so. Zikhali’s manager, Simbarashe Tizora, confirmed the event, which he described as special to his followers in Bulawayo.
“It’s going to be a special event, especially for our followers in Bulawayo.
“It’s a meet-and-greet affair, so we are expecting a lot of fun,” he said.
The organisers said they felt Bulawayo residents should watch one of the country’s strongest men in flesh.
“He has accepted to come and consume the food, but we feel people should also see him pulling a loaded lorry.
“We are inviting people to come in their numbers, and remember children five years and below will get free meals,” said one the organisers.
The Oxman, who gained attention for claiming he could eat a meal for a family of 10 in one sitting, passed a public test set by H-Metro of 2kg of sadza, 2.5kg of chicken, two litres of water and one litre of juice at a Harare restaurant.
H-Metro streamed the event live on social media and it was viewed by tens of thousands of people.
The restaurant, where the challenge took place was besieged by dozens of curious onlookers, wanting to confirm the Oxman could indeed consume such a large quantity of food.
