As steadfast believers in the power of prayer, we view Zimbabwe’s present situation as a parallel to David’s clash with Goliath, an opinion that even ZANU echoes. Chiwenga’s proclamations of ZANU’s magnitude and might echo those of Goliath, serving as a clear signal to Christians versed in the scripture.
In this election, believers must lean heavily into something we’ve not given ample attention to before: FAITH, an absolute trust in God!
Grasping the enormity of our God is a common struggle. Even the most experienced pastors wrestle with this concept – when asked to exercise FAITH, doubt often surfaces. Jesus’s close disciple, Peter, is a prime example – when we depend solely on our capabilities, we begin to sink.
Reflecting on the Bible, we recall King Saul’s attempt to help David (against Goliath) by offering him protective armor, symbolising tactics, techniques, and strategies. However, God’s workings are not contingent on such terrestrial interventions. God remains complete without us – while we are incomplete without Him.
Although ZANU may assert to be as mighty as Goliath, we call on all God-fearing, freedom-cherishing, and truth-seeking Zimbabweans to place their FAITH in God!
The belief that we cannot merely sit passively and hope for the best is often propagated by those who fail to perceive God’s deep workings.
While EXPERTS claim the opposition is not doing enough and argue their leader spends too much time on VERSES, what they do not know is when we surrender our will entirely to God, LITTLE BECOMES MUCH! All David needed were ‘LITTLE’ pebbles of stone against giant GOLIATH…
The bible is clear:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” Psalms 127:1
With God on our side, we are more than conquerors!
